This game, is like.. one of the most unique real-time strategy games EVVVERRRR!

It's one of my favorites too, and it's all, spacey and cool!

We should consider playing it together sometime, but the only draw-back is you have to be turn File Sharing on, on your computer. You also need to make sure we can ping each other in Hamachi in order for it to work, Mark Clark and I got it working between the two of us, after a lot of working and working at it.

    Pros:
    -You can form alliances
    -2 factions Plymouth and Eden
-"world" maps that have no east or west limit (like you are wandering around a planet)
-different ways of winning other than blowing each other up. Example, 'Space Race' mode requires you to research and build a space-station first.

    Cons:
-You need to spend a while of researching before you can even make tanks and whatnot
-games in total can take quite a while, we'd have to make sure we had at least 3 hours(for the most part)(Actually, Mark and I can manage to start fighting each other after maybe 10 minutes, you just start off with some rather crappy weapons, lol.) to get an awesome game to happen.
-a bit difficult to play until you get used to it

But yeah, it's only 10MB big, unless you want the techno-ish in-game music (which is pretty cool in my opinion), which will make the total size like.. 250-290MB.

Head on over to Outpost Universe to download it!

    EDIT:

Also, as I said down below:

    http://www.outpostuniverse.net/hamachi.php

Go there and look at parts 4 through 6 to set hamachi in the highest priority.

I then tried the game on my 2 computers having one host and the other join and visa versa and it works! The one who joins just has to go to multiplayer -> tcp/ip -> join game then type in the person's hamachi IP (it'll also then keep the address stored!)

LOL, Mark Clark and I spent about 2 or 3 hours building multiple bases, as soon as we started getting bored we decided to engage in MORTAL COMBAT! I won.. but it was quite an epic struggle, and I lost many units.. luckily they were just robots, but they were brave robots!

You get tanks on Outpost 2 that shoot giant-arcs of electricity, they're awesome. Plymouth also gets tanks that self-destruct into little mini-nukes.

Like in that new movie 9? Laughing

But yeah I love Outpost 2 but I haven't played in a while. You kinda have to read the story that is revealed as you progress through the game to really get the whole game.

Aye, they could make a complete novel or two out of the in-game storyline alone.

LOL, my cousin Merrick and I were playing the Cross-fire map that some guy made, where you work together to fend off the blight, and a computer player while trying to build the space-station, and we did it after 3 tries! I fended the computer off and he built the space-station, we both built walls to help slow down the blight. It was awesome.

Awesome and even more awesome! Even with dial-up though you could still probably play this over the internet and hamachi, given that no one minded the phone line to be tied up for a while.

@ Mason: It most likely won't be your favorite game, but it would be awesome to have a game with possibly you, Mike, Matt, Merrick, Mark and I... holy cow, everyone has a name starting with M except me... But yeah, it's pretty darn fun via multiplayer.

Maybe later on in the afternoon yes, red alert 2 works well online so it'd probably be fine. And don't worry, we can just add an M to the beginning of your name... Mandrew...

Awesome, so all you'd have to do is get hamachi and join my channel, and then do that thing I posted in my first post near the end, where you change hamachi to be the first choice of IP address that the programs initially look at, and then you'll be set.

Hmm, MANdrew, I like the sound of that. Also, in Greek, Andrew means manly, so it would be very punny indeed.

But yeah, Matt and I also beat the crossfire map. It was gettin' fairly close with the blight right at our doorstep, but we diiiiidddd ittt.. I also destroyed the computer again, bwahaha! But yeah, we should all play in just a regular Last One Standing or Space Race map and have funnn...
