So far we've agreed it should be set in a galaxy spanning universe, where the earth has long since been destroyed 200 years ago, and warp travel is a key mode of transportation. Within this universe resides not only humans, but also many species of aliens, and a race of robots. Humanity is currently living a more nomadic lifestyle, and due to limitations in communications with the alien races, there tend to be hostilities among them. Of the humans, there are a few nations, the largest being the Sovereign Human Empire, ruled by descendants of Americans from Earth, and other nations, ruled by descendants of Russians, or a mixture. Because of their differences, there is much tension between the nations, leading to large amounts of border violence. In this galaxy, humanity has a primary emphasis on the use of traditional mass projectile weapons, while most alien races prefer energy weapons. A few collaborations have produced special hybrid weapons. Ships, at least by humans, range from single pilot fighters and bombers to 2 km long dreadnoughts.
